Setlst.

Setlst is an experiential music series I founded to create intimate spaces where music, art, and culture collide. What started as a living room gathering evolved into a curated experience series — bringing together 80+ guests per volume in spaces designed to feel immersive, intentional, and alive. Through brand design, event production, and editorial storytelling, Setlst became a creative ecosystem that sparked organic buzz and repeat attendance across Toronto's creative scene.

CLIENT Personal Project ROLE Art Director, Experience Designer, Brand Designer YEAR 2024

Concept

Setlst began as a passion project exploring the intersection of music and atmosphere — how visual cues, sound, and storytelling can transform a small space into an immersive world. The idea: curate experiences people can actually feel. From volume one to two, the concept evolved into a distinct visual language — minimal but rich, intimate but alive — merging sound, culture, and community energy

Art Direction

Each volume has its own tone and rhythm.

  • Vol. 1: moody, analog-inspired, built around red hues and tactile textures — visualizing memory and nostalgia.
  • Vol. 2: brighter, warmer, layered with film photography and social intimacy — designed to evoke togetherness and flow.

The Setlst Journal

To capture the night’s emotion beyond the event itself, I created The Set Journal — a limited-edition zine archiving photos, stories, and reflections from each volume. It extends Setlst’s identity into print, pairing editorial storytelling with the tactile, nostalgic energy of vinyl culture.

“The Set Journal became a way to slow down a fast night — to hold onto what it felt like.”

Impact

  • Curated intimate experiences with 80+ guests per volume — from living room gathering to warehouse takeover, keeping it intentionally small enough to feel immersive and connected
  • Sparked organic buzz and repeat attendance through word-of-mouth, building a loyal community of creatives, artists, and music lovers across Toronto
  • Created collectible artifacts — from album artwork and journals to stickers and menus — that turned a one-night event into a tangible, lasting cultural moment
